Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. The modeling career she began with was in Italy, where she was raised and was born in California. In 1996 she debuted as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After that, she was a star as a supporting character in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting, as model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. They are usually given smaller and unimportant parts. Amy persevered, and ultimately she was offered bigger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy achieved the fame she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. Amy went on to star in major film projects including the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
