Charissa is an American sportscaster born on 5th May, 1982. ESPN analyst was commissioned to co-host the show by SportsNation towards the end of 2012. She hosted the ABC program Splash together with Joey Lawrence. Thompson was born in Seattle Washington. Thompson was the eldest child of three, and realized at the age of three that she would like to become a journalist. Thompson attended Inglemoor High School, Kenmore Washington. Thompson left Washington for California in order to enroll in a community college. Additionally, she was granted California residency. Later, she transferred to University of California Santa Barbara. University of California Santa Barbara in 2004, where she earned a B.A. in Law and Society in 2004. Thompson clarified that while Sports Illustrated stated she attended UC Santa Barbara before transferring from UC Santa Barbara to a California Community College, she wasn't in attendance in Washington State. Prior to her sports broadcasting career, Thompson was approached by Sports Illustrated offering her to appear in body paint in an Swimsuit issue.
